Designing an awards show for some of the state’s best designers
TENN Show is the prestigious state-wide design competition and awards show. Held every two years, TENN Show honors some of Tennessee’s most talented visual communicators.
TENN Show began in Knoxville, and in 2012, after being hosted by other AIGA chapters across the state, it came home. AIGA Knoxville’s board collaborated as a team to design TENN Show’s branding, collateral, and awards, and design and develop the site. We also organized, promoted, and hosted the awards show. The event helped to connect designers across the state and shared some of their best work.
For the first time in the event’s history, the TENN Show site allowed for both online entry and judging. Previously, people would mail their entries, and judges would fly in to review the entries in person over a period of a few days (very old school, very cumbersome:) Submitting work online created a significant time and cost savings for entrants. Conducting all of judging online created significant savings for AIGA Knoxville. Winner, Gold Addy.
