First Fruit Ministries

Providing outreach and supportive housing to people experiencing homelessness and human trafficking

First Fruit Ministries is a thriving non-profit that meets people in the community, where they are, during their time of greatest need. The organization provides immediate and empathetic care in the field and at their facilities to people experiencing homeless or human trafficking.

We helped First Fruit prepare for an ambitious set of visibility and fundraising goals around its 25th anniversary, from rebranding and hosting high-profile events to increasing individual donors and reducing reliance on grants.

We also provided a complete overhaul of FFM’s site. The previous site had nuggets of valuable information but lacked a clear navigation or any introduction to the organization. FFM is deeply rooted in the Cape Fear region but the previous site lacked any context and felt anonymous.

So we started by mapping out the previous site’s content, and worked with FFM to identify new content and map new navigation and user journeys.

Working with the org’s leadership, we also benchmarked against comparable non-profits and developed personas for the organization’s key audiences. Personas included clients seeking services, people interested in getting more involved, volunteers, donors, media, and the broader community.

The new site captures the organization’s optimistic spirit, remarkable history, and positions it for growth for the next 25 years.

Finally, we redesigned and created new content for FFM’s email campaigns and drip campaigns and designed templates for their social media channels.
