A series of four photos of Sketch Club shenanigans. Sketch Club is a vibrant Knoxville, TN creative community

What if you had the time and support to create–to paint, to draw, and to explore?

At Sketch Club, you can! If you’re an emerging or an established artist who feels called to create, but struggles to find the time and space to create consistently, we’re building this community for you.

You don’t have to keep delaying your creative goals. Sketch Club provides an ideal container: two hours a week on Saturdays in a playful, lighthearted setting to learn, explore, and try new things.

If you crave a friendly environment and a passionate creative community, you’re in the right place.

  • finding high-quality instruction
  • wanting to advance, but not having the time to go back to school
  • trying to carve out time consistently to create as a working adult
  • working in isolation and trying to learn and grow on your own
  • needing foundational skills (for emerging artists) or needing fresh eyes on your projects (for established artists).

  • What if artists could access high-quality, tailored art instruction without the time and cost of going back to school?
  • What if we could create in a vibrant community rather than working alone, trying to fit in our work at odd hours?
  • What if we had support and encouragement from fellow creatives who get it?
  • What if we could gather with other art lovers who’re excited to learn and grow?
  • What if artists felt empowered to stop waiting for the ideal time and start working now?

Meet your guides

Sketch Club is lead by Cordelia and Sally, two working artists who foster a friendly, inclusive community.  As parents and business owners, we know the challenges of maintaining a creative practice in the midst of the chaos.

We started Sketch Club in early 2026 to provide a respite from day-to-day demands and create a peaceful, nurturing space.

Many of the artists in our community found us after years of putting their creative expression on hold.

Without guidance and without support, they often felt that their creative desires were simply out of reach, or would have to wait until some ideal future state (when work slows down, when the kids are out of the house, when I’m retired).

As working artists ourselves, we hate seeing people talk themselves out of their ambitions and abandon an essential part of themselves.

with Sketch Club, you can start now! And if you’d like to further develop your skills, we also offer one-on-one instruction.

“Sketch Club Saturdays are the best day of the week. You just show up…all the things are there to have fun and create and, even better, there are two working artists with different styles and experience who are willing to teach or guide you depending on your level but always cheer you on.”
